As the holiday season draws near, I must write about my longtime friend Greg Hann and his fantastic Christmas tree farm. I have known Greg for many years, and have had the privilege of working with him on some of his print, web and photography needs over the past several seasons.
Back in 2009, Greg approached me with the idea of taking his somewhat static website, sparse of information, and redesigning it. We tried to come up with a site that emulated the feel and experience of going to his farm, and bring back the memories of an old fashioned Christmas while still displaying his information and events.
His site redesign has been a hit ever since, and continues to receive compliments from visitors and customers. Along with a landing page which includes falling snow and his theme song, we included an interactive Kid’s Zone where children of all ages can have a little fun for a while, with puzzles, word searches, and links to other online sites playing holiday themed video games. [My absolute favorite hidden gem on that page is this link — talk about holiday stress relief!!]
After redoing his website, I have also helped Greg with updated photography from his farm, and with designing flyers, ads, brochures and more for his business, all keeping the theme and feel of his wonderful store. Most recently we redid his logo, seen at the top of this post. Please check out Hann’s Christmas Farm this year for your tree, wreath, and holiday ornament needs. You won’t be disappointed!
